Everything you need to know about asking and answering on Dhishuum.
Dhishuum is a global opinion-poll platform where anyone can ask a question about anything that matters to them — a pothole on your street, a product that failed, a safety concern, a policy, a movie — and see what people really think. Results update live, so you can watch opinion take shape in real time.
Click “Start a poll”, write your question, add two or more answer options, and choose a category. You can optionally add a location, photos, documents or video links as supporting material, and tag the people or organisations responsible. Once you publish, your poll is live and ready to share.
Yes — a free account (email or phone) keeps voting fair, so one person gets one vote per poll. When you vote you choose how: stay anonymous, or “make your vote count” by optionally adding your age bracket, gender, country and place. Adding details is always your choice, and only combined, anonymised numbers are ever shown publicly.
Other users never see who you voted for. If you choose the anonymous option, no personal details are attached to your vote at all. If you choose to add demographic details, they are used only to build combined statistics — for example, how opinion differs by age group or country.
Every poll has a section listing the people, officials, companies or organisations connected to the issue. Anyone signed in can add a name and, optionally, a link to that person’s public profile — a Facebook, Instagram or Threads page, or an official government website — so everyone can see who is involved in the concern being raised.
Poll creators and commenters can attach photos, documents (PDF), videos, or links to posts on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads and other sites. You can also record a video straight from your phone camera. Everything voters upload appears in the “Documents from voters” panel on the poll.
Absolutely. Use the share button to send a poll to WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, or copy the link. Poll creators can switch resharing off for a specific poll if they prefer to keep it contained.
Yes. When you create a poll you can make it public, restrict it to people in a particular location (a city, state or country), or keep it private. Location-restricted polls are shown only to people whose profile matches that place.
Hate speech, slurs, threats, graphic content, harassment and anything illegal are not allowed, and offensive language is filtered automatically. Anyone can report a poll or comment, and polls that break the rules are removed.
Yes. Voting, commenting and starting polls are free. Dhishuum may show ads and related links to cover running costs, and always labels them clearly.
