Community Guidelines
Dhishuum works when people feel safe giving honest opinions. These guidelines explain what we expect from polls, comments and uploads, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Be honest and fair
- Ask clear, balanced questions with options that cover the realistic range of views. Do not write questions designed to trap or mislead.
- Attach evidence that is genuine and relevant. Do not post fake documents, edited images or misleading clips.
- State facts as facts and opinions as opinions. Do not make false claims about real people or organisations.
- Remember that polls here are not scientific surveys.
Be respectful
- Disagree with ideas, not with people. No slurs, hate speech, or attacks on someone’s religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality.
- No threats, harassment, bullying, or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
- No sexual content involving minors, graphic violence or gore, or other obscene material.
Protect people’s privacy
- Do not post other people’s private details: home addresses, phone numbers, private emails, ID numbers or private photos.
- The “People who may be connected” panel is for public roles and organisations related to an issue (for example an official responsible for a department, or a company). Link to public profiles or official pages only. Do not use it to target private individuals.
No spam or manipulation
- No fake accounts, bots, vote-trading or other attempts to manipulate results.
- No spam, repeated promotional posts, scams, phishing or links to malicious sites.
- No content that infringes copyright or trademarks.
What happens if rules are broken
We remove content that breaks these guidelines or the law. Depending on how serious or repeated it is, we may warn, limit or close an account. Our automatic filters catch some abusive language, but they are not perfect, so we rely on reports too.
How to report a problem
Use the report button on a poll, or the Help & report a problem form — include the link to the poll so we can find it quickly. See also our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
