Keeping that voice alive takes more than an idea. Every poll, vote and comment is carried by servers and a database that must run around the clock. The photos, videos and documents people share as evidence need secure storage, and data-centre capacity grows with every new voice that joins. Careful moderation keeps discussions honest, fair and safe for everyone. Each of these has a real cost, every single day.
