Brijendra Kala is the slow taxi driver in Jab We Met (2007), the journalist in Paan Singh Tomar, the idol seller in PK and Mr. Bansal in Sherni. He did more than 17 years of theatre in Mathura before films, and wrote TV dialogue in Mumbai when acting work was thin (The Quint/IANS, Film Companion). His first film was Haasil (2003). On Besharam he shot 10 of 20 planned days, then was dropped. By 2020 he had acted in more than 60 films (PTI), and in 2025 he was in Sitaare Zameen Par and Jolly LLB 3. In 2019 he said the industry was "yet to give my due as a performer". So, why is he still "that actor"?
