Should creators and platforms face strict penalties for AI-morphed explicit videos of film actors?

In early October 2026 an AI-manipulated explicit video using footage of actors Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR from the film Devara: Part 1 circulated online. Several film personalities condemned it, Jr NTR called for legal action, and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma argued that celebrity reactions amplified its reach.
