Ganeshotsav loudspeakers

Should Mumbai's Ganeshotsav processions allow loudspeakers until midnight, or should DJ-style sound be discouraged?

📍 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Mumbai's Ganpati mandals can use loudspeakers from 6 AM to midnight on four visarjan days (15, 18, 19 and 25 September 2026) under a Collector notification, within noise limits. Navi Mumbai's police commissioner appealed on 8 September for a DJ-free festival, while Pune police banned plasma and pressure-mid speakers.
