On 6 October 2026 the Delhi High Court stayed an FSSAI directive asking PepsiCo and Monster to drop the 'Energy Drink' descriptor, allowing existing stock to be sold until the next hearing on 5 November. The regulator's directive had also instructed food safety officers to seize such products.
